We created Rhamani because we wanted a lighter, more comfortable camp sandal to take backpacking. In the process, we discovered how to make a better recovery sandal for tired feet anywhere. A soft contoured footbed that cradles and supports your foot in all the right places is like walking on clouds. Combine that with an ingenious versatile strap system and you get the most comfortable and versatile sandal in the world.
Rhamanis were inspired by my son Torin and daughter Montana and their wilderness playgrounds of Lopez Island, WA and the Sawtooth Mountains, ID. The tread pattern is a silhouette of the Sawtooths, just outside of Stanley, ID. The footbed texture comes from the pebble beaches of Lopez Island.
The innovative strapping system uses friction instead of glue to anchor the webbing. Tension keeps it all together. Not only is this better for the environment, it's user friendly. With your fingers and the strap tool, you can adjust the fit, reconfigure the sandals, or change out the colors as you desire.
